Since 10.5.6, Safari can't maintain sessions →
I knew something was up. If you run anything that embeds webkit and uses NSURLRequest, then Safari can’t maintain new sessions between application cycles.

I’m not a big Joel fan, in fact I think he’s something of a hack. But in this case he definitely nails it. Basically, programming and software engineering is one of the few jobs that America has a…

Uh, whoah. Moral of the story: No matter how unsafe you think banks are you’re almost better off with your money there. At least it’s insure. Does this woman not understand FDIC insurance?

More: Systems Programming with PLT Scheme →
Another amazing piece of tutorial/documentation for the PLT Scheme project. People in the edgist world need to start taking this project seriously. Any language that can, as an introductory concept, make a web-server should be considered serious business.

Ever since 2003, I’ve always wanted a menu that sticks out of the corner of the page. Originally I did it with a Java Applet (don’t laugh, it was 2003!). But the crazy thing is, it’s just a bit of css. No javascript at all! Something like this will be part of my upcoming github page.

This piece isn’t particularly original or funny. The only reason I mention it is that it’s demonstrative of how sloppy and poor some people’s understanding of other languages is. The fact that that neatly echos people’s understanding of foreign religion is a neat coincidence, I don’t think the author was being that subtle.
